Getting The Word Out?

How To Better Market Your Products And Services VIA E-Mail List Building, Free Incentives And Joint Ventures?

Michael D Barrett

Do you operate a home based business? Do you have an email list you’ve been building? If not, you really should think about creating and developing one. An email list can do several things for businesses. For one thing, it can keep your clients and customers informed about the happenings of your business. Maybe you’ve got a sale coming up in a few months and want your customers to know about it. An email list would be an organized way to quickly send emails to everyone interested in your business. When you do decide to start your email list for your business, consider using these simple tips.

Incentives Can Get Email Addresses Fast

It seems that people are much more willing to hand over their email addresses when there is an incentive involved. If you offer an incentive for people signing up for your email, you will likely get more people to sign on. Everyone loves to get something for free, or to get a chance to win a nice prize. If you have written articles or have composed an E-Book or have an information CD or DVD that describes your products and services, you can offer them for free if a person signs on to your newsletter. Of course, you don’t have to give away something expensive like a car. You can offer a simple article on the secrets of your business, or something completely cost-free and people will still get excited. Anything you can give away for free will help you pull in email addresses. Bring Your Friends Along. It’s about creating a community of like-minded individuals who share a common interest in your products, services or business opportunity.

You may want to offer something to those who refer others to your email list as well. You can explain in a newsletter that if they will forward your newsletter to someone they know, you will allow them to be entered into a prize winning contest. If you use an email marketing service to maintain your newsletters, such as aweber.com, you should easily be able to see who forwards the letter and who doesn’t. When the friends receive the forwarded newsletter, they too might become interested in getting your newsletter and your list will grow instantly.

Teaming Up Or Creating A Joint Venture Is A Good Idea

There are many businesses that are correlated to your business, but that would not be considered a competitor of yours. If you can contact one of these businesses that are somehow related to yours, you can work together on email marketing. You can use each others customer lists to reach more people, without seeming pushy about it. Most recently Ellie & Charlie Drake of Brave Heart Productions teemed up with one of the leading experts on internet marketing: Mike Filsaime and are now offering dynamic tips on how to develop a strategic internet marketing plan for Network Marketers and other entrepreneurs who are looking to become more internet savvy. This is a classic example of doing a joint venture. Ellie Drake is an internationally renowned life, business coach and speaker, combined with her husband Charlie, who oversees operations and the implementation and integration of services provided by braveheartproductions.com and braveheartwomen.com/, makes for a dynamic team as they join forces with MikeFilsaime.com/. You can work this in several ways. One way is to feature your partner’s business in your newsletter and ask them to do the same thing for your business. Or, you can ask your readers to join the list of the other business. If you want to be subtle about it, simply put a link to their website in each of your newsletters and allow your readers to do the searching.

Remember, if you are running a home based business, it is essential that you find a way to reach your potential clients. Creating an email list is a great way to reach potential customers or a fine way to get repeat business from those who’ve already purchased a product or service from you.

Article Subission

A Powerful And Cost Effective Tool For Marketing Your Business

Dustin Cannon

Articles are becoming a mainstream way of advertising for websites. Business owners have discovered that submitting articles to article directories has many benefits for their business. Writing a good, solid article and submitting it to an article directory offers much more than the typical advertising campaign. Submitting articles to article directories allow a business owner to promote their business without seeming overly pushy or having to outright sell to customers. A good article is written to provide information not to be promotional. Submitting a good article will help build the business owners credibility in their area of business. It will also help them to become established as an expert in their field. Article directories supply articles to a variety of web site owners and an article submitted could be used by many different website owners providing the business with many marketing outlets. Article directories allow writers to include their name, business name and information. This allows anyone who reads the article to quickly access their website. Articles are a great form of free advertising that take a small effort to set up and distribute.
Article directories are a great way to get a business recognized. A business owner who seems informed about their business and their customers will get a boost in sales. People like to buy from someone who knows what they are doing. Writing articles lets customers know the business owner is doing more than selling a product, they are selling a product they understand and believe in.

Setting Attainable Goals VS Obsession With Making Money?

How To Avoid Obsession When Developing A Home Based Business?

Michael D Barrett

Did you know that there is too much of a good thing? Did you know that your home based business may become an obsession? While you may laugh at the latter, consider the fact that there are those who put in three times as many hours into their home based business than they did when they were working at corporate. Since many a would-be entrepreneur cites the wish to spend more time with friends and family, this appears to be oxymoronic, or does it? If that is you, are you working smart or just working hard getting ready to get ready and ultimately avoiding the changes that need to occur in your life to actually realize your goals and make it happen by taking decisive action? Have you written down your goals, developed a business plan or are you winging it?

Put Your Attainable Goals In Writing To Avoid Obsession and Attract Success

You might be wondering if goal setting really works. Let’s look at a study conducted with the Yale Graduating Class of 1953. They surveyed all students asking them if they had written goals for their life:
• 3% had put their goals in writing
• 97% had not written them down or had none at all!
Twenty years later, these same people were re-interviewed.
• The 3% who had written goals had 10 times the incomes than the other 97% combined!

There is NO DOUBT about it – Goal Setting Works! A goal is merely a dream until it is written down. I have watched friends get themselves into serious financial trouble simply because they did not put their goals for their business in writing and did not develop a business plan. In executing your business you must define short term attainable goals that truly inspire you, something that will push you to do whatever it takes to accomplish them. Goals keep you focused help you create your vision and will give you peace of mind as our unconscious mind is passive and will do whatever we consciously choose to do. If left on the default mode, our unconscious mind will simply repeat the life long patters and sometimes bat habits that we have taught it. Dream Big but at one and the same time, set and execute these short term goals that will aid you in realizing your long term goals dreams and aspirations. It is always good to be reminded that we are the only thing that stands between us and achievable success .Setting goals and jotting down daily victories and accomplishments will help to alleviate obsession with your home based business. Clarity and purpose in our life will truly be enhanced by disciplining ourselves in taking a few minutes every day to reflect and journal our accomplishments and writing them down. Most of us are visual and can benefit if we see our results in writing. In your reflective moments, you may come to realize, that there are unconscious blocks, distractions and limiting thinking patters that if left to themselves and not confronted and handled, could be a contributing factor in diminishing your desired results and could lead to discouragement. But we all know that for you: FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.

Here are the top five signs that your home based business has become an obsession:

1. You spend more time working for your home based business than you did working at your corporate job. Remember that this does not apply to the initial start up, a phase that may cover a time period of three weeks to three months. Instead, it refers to the day to day operations of an up and running home based business.

2. None of the long and short term personal goals you set when starting your home based business are being accomplished after a period of six months. If your children still have to go to daycare, or you and your spouse are still dining on frozen dinners instead of the home cooked meals you envisioned, then the odds are good that you simply exchanged one job for another may have neglected to reflect on your short term and long term goals to track your daily and weekly success..

3. Your home based business may be an obsession if it enters every conversation you have. This is especially true if your business is multi level marketing or affiliate marketing. If you find that every conversation you have somehow leads to the business, then it has transcended its function from being a means to an end to being the end itself. When short and long term goals are clearly defined, we become a lot less anxious knowing that we have taken the time to articulate them. By doing so, the need to obsess and worry about our business will diminish or will be eliminated entirely as we are more self assured and confident.

4. You are tempted to, or may already have, engage in increasingly financially risky schemes and deals in order to finance the business and help it to grow and get to the next level. If you are thinking of mortgaging your home to finance your business expansion or if you are maxing out your credit cards to fund a major ad campaign, you know you are going too far. However, utilizing a credit card or line of credit can be seen as good credit if not used in excess and is not putting you or your family at risk. Financial prudence is always recommended.

5. Even if one particular home based business or business opportunity is not taken to excess, the investment in any number of them at the same time or concurrently, or the constant involvement in the latest multi level marketing fads and Internet get rich quick schemes is a warning sign that you are not being a business persona but instead obsessed with making money on or offline.

Please remember that there is nothing intrinsically wrong with wanting to succeed with your home based business. However, if you are taking the chasing of your success too far, or if you find that none of the goals you have set for yourself have materialized after six months but instead you find that more and more you are compromising your priorities, then you may wish to consider either a different home based business, new goal setting strategy, or a return to the corporate world to keep your commitments to your family. The choice to succeed is yours. The buck stops here: make it so number one!

Design And Conquer!

Great Ideas And Strategies On HowTo Find And Sustain Your Passion In Developing An Excellent Home Based Business

By Michael D Barrett

If you work a typical 9 to 5 job, you may find yourself getting sluggish through the week. Waiting for the weekend to come seems to take forever, and you can’t stand being at work one second longer each day than you absolutely have to. Lacking passion, you slide into your desk right at 9 am and slide out the moment the clock strikes 5. You find yourself taking the long way around the office to the copier or develop an extensive reading list to enhance your lavatory experience so that you will waste more time, or begin to take frequent bathroom breaks just to be out of your seat. It may be time to consider turning in your two weeks notice and branching out into your own home based business that will exploit and take advantage of your talent and skill set and enable you to accomplish a new level of excellence in your life. Now you must decide what type of business that you will work on to maintain your bills.

Starting and developing an excellent business can be difficult and will require a certain passion that will poise you for success. To do so, you will need to think about the type of business that you would like to engage in and would enjoy working on daily. Many times people start a business that they believe that they will enjoy only to find that within a year, they are burnt out on that type of business and want to focus on other aspects. It will take a considerable amount of time, money and a strategic marketing plan to start and sustain your business, so you must consider a variety of home based business ideas that will coincide and peak your interest. For this perseverance is necessary. One of the most important decisions is to decide whether you want to work on something that you enjoy or something that you are skilled at.

Having a business that consists of something that you are skilled at can keep you busy with work and will feed your passion, especially if it is something that you can perform quickly and accurately. If typing is something that you do well, and your grammar is exceptional, you may want to consider jobs that have you type or do medical transcriptions. If you have experience in medical billing you may want to consider developing or seeking employment with a company that specializes in that. The possibilities are endless. These may not be exciting types of businesses but you will find that the work is plentiful. You may find that having a company that revolves around your natural talents and abilities can keep you enticed with your job for years to come. An important decision that you will need to make is do you want a job at home, or do you want to have your own business. Many people enjoy working for themselves in a variety of network marketing companies. Donald Trump has stated that if her were just getting started today, he would get involved in a network marketing company to build his initial fortune and then move into the arena of investing in real estate. Unlike expensive franchises that can cost you hundreds-of-thousands or even millions of dollars, most MLM companies are very affordable to buy into. In network marketing or a direct sales company, the products and services have already been created and developed and are distributed by individuals who can work form the comfort of their home. As great a company as Amway is, we are not necessarily suggesting that you get involved in a company that requires you to warehouse tons of products in your garage. Today, most companies drop ship their product. As a distributor or consultant, you are more engaged in the selling or simply exposing people to the products or services as you build your success team. Many companies provide you with an on line web site or back office to track all your sales, leads and automatically generate messages that are emailed out to prospects you have opted into your web site. We will elaborate on this form of marketing at another time or you can check out postings on this blog that focus on marketing strategies. In the case of the MLM or network marketing scenario you are in business for yourself but not by yourself. In most instances, you will be working and developing your business with a team. It has been my experience that people who engage in multi level marketing or MLM programs become better persons because they work together to ensure mutual success. In most MLM companies you will be introduced to some of the best coaching in business and personal development. It is a different animal to work for yourself as opposed to working for someone else. As for me, I am psychologically unemployable. I need to be the boss. Working for someone else at home or working for a company requires less creativity on your part. If you are artistic, you may want to consider selling your artwork or designing signage for other companies. You may be skilled in carpentry and sell hand-made furniture or restore antiques. The possibilities are endless when you consider what you are interested in and how to turn those passions into money making ideas. If you are interested in animals or children, you may want to consider starting a business that allows you to work directly with them. No matter what you choose to sink your teeth into, always bear in mind that this is a business not a hobby. If you treat it as a business you will take it much more seriously. To be successful, you will be required to exercise certain disciplines and invest financially and develop a strategic marketing plan be it on line or off line. As the saying goes: you don’t get nothing for nothing.’ To succeed you need to take decisive action.

Starting a business that you can passionately enjoy can help you to stay interested for the rest of your life. Venturing into new areas of your passions can often turn out well for you and give you a little bit of freedom from the mundane life that you have been living in the 9 to 5 world. Good luck getting started in your new career as you design and conquer. Who has a better right?

Cheerleaders R Us!

How to Achieve Proficiency in Developing Your Home Based Business Opportunity Skill Set?

By Michael D Barrett

It is common knowledge that you need to work at home based business opportunity success the same way that you need to work hard to achieve success – both personal and financial – from the average nine to five job. Unfortunately, if you do not take the necessary steps to set the stage to succeed, it can sometimes get lost in the whirlwind of enthusiasm as the skill sets required to realize the success from the home business and the day job are entirely different. Some might even say that in some cases the skills required are diametrically opposed from one another. To help you work at home based business opportunity success while at the same time give you an insight into the skills that are required to prevent failure, here is a quick list of the four most important proficiencies.

1. You must be a self starter and take the lead. When you work at a home based business opportunity, you are in charge and developing your sill sets and implementing them is the key to your success. You cannot rely on anyone else to tell you to get started, to get to work, to set and meet a deadline, to work through your lunch to accomplish a number of tasks before the end of the day, to work overtime after the kids are in bed to get more done, or to cancel your day off because you need to get a vital aspect of the work done. At a regular job, you will be told by a supervisor when extra hours are available for work, when vacation requests will not be granted, and when a special project requires an “all hands on deck” approach which the company rewards with a catered buffet for everyone who commits to come in on their days off. Not to worry! You are in charge of establishing your days off and when and where to vacation. In making a decision to start your own business, your have made a lifestyle decision to realize your dreams in achieving financial independence.
www.excellent-home-business.com

2. You should not be a team player in the strict sense of the word, but more of a team leader. In a startling reversal of the tired adage that requires everyone in a corporation to be a team member and look out for the good of the company or the department, as a person who is busy with work at a home based business opportunity, your skill sets, if properly exploited and implemented, define you as number one. In some home based business opportunities, such as direct sales, multi level marketing or mlm, you may be encouraged to develop and build a success team with members of your respective organization or company, but it all starts with you taking the initiative. This means you are responsible for everything and Your Way is The Way. The odds are good that nobody will look out for your benefit, and you will need to be mindful of it yourself. In many home based business opportunities, one of the keys to our success is realizing that you are in business for yourself but not by yourself. Great customer service and team support is up to you to deliver, hard lined collection of funds is your department, and dealing efficiently with customer complaints and generating goodwill in the community for your business is your job.

3. Recognize personal shortfalls and correct them immediately. When evaluating and assessing your skill sets you may find that you are not as organized as you should be, you will need to burn the midnight oil and take an online class or course if necessary, to find a way to become more organized or internet savvy and then implement it. If you take your success seriously, you will need to invest in your education. Ascertaining and implementing a marketing strategy is one of the most important components that will contribute to your success. ‘You Are a Marketer.’
www.3migroupblog.com You need to constantly remind yourself, especially when you are in the start up mode, that your home based business is not a hobby but a business and needs to be treated as such. At a regular job this might translate into a seminar your boss may pay for and send you to, and then will most likely end up in your taking some of the suggestions and adapting them to your work environment. In your home business it means adapting your way of doing business to a correct way of being organized and to educate yourself by attending conferences and live educational events, online seminars and webinars to ensure your ongoing success.

Last but not least, work smart not hard. if you want to be among the 5% of those who succeed, and not the 95% of those who fail, one of the most overlooked skills when you work at home based business opportunity success is your unwavering commitment to success. Throughout the day, and especially in challenging moments, you must constantly utter the affirmation that failure is not an option. This means that you can look past failure, rejection, and mistakes and instead keep trotting forward, always looking toward the ultimate success – even though there will nobody there to cheer you on. You are the ‘Cheer Leader’ as you are at the helm always bearing in mind that among the top priorities, defined by an acquired skill set, requires that you believe in yourself and need to eliminate limiting beliefs and unconscious patterns that can block and sabotage your success. Another helpful affirmation to remember is that success is a choice. At a job, you will have a boss who will encourage you, a concerned coworker who might write you a nice card and put it on your desk, or a friend who will call to encourage you. Not when you are on your own. As the end of everyday, give yourself a hug and remember that the Buck Starts Here. You need to be your own best friend.

If Timing is Everything: Then It’s Your Time!

Applying Time Management Principles to Succeed in Your Home Based Business

by Michael D Barrett

Starting your home based business is an exciting time for anyone who takes on that venture. It takes a lot of planning and decision making on your part and anyone that may be in business with you. Once you have gotten the basics for your business down, you may think that it will be a smooth ride from here. That may not necessarily be true if you do not develop a strategy that includes an essential time management component! You will need to think about the future of your business before you start to relax and take things easy. Time can be your friend or your worst enemy, depending on how you organize it! When you begin to explore the different possibilities, it is a lot like find the right pair of shoes. There must be a fit between your personality, skill set and an overall synergy. IF you select a home based business that involves direct sales and developing a team, then you will want to be aware from the outset that you are going to attract people to yourself based on your personality. You have often heard the expression, ‘like attracts like.’ This is the age old law of attraction which is the focal point of The Secret.

From a time management perspective, it is a good idea to divide your daily schedule into time frames where you focus on individual tasks. Some obstacles are unavoidable, but others you can avoid with a little bit of planning ahead. If you have responsibilities that you must be present for outside of your home, plan your driving time accordingly. You do not want to be late due to a time crunch or rush hour traffic. Being late can convey to a potential client that meeting with them is not high on your priority list. To be successful in your business, you must be disciplined and employ the dynamics and principles that will enable you to see time management as a kind of friend who only has your best interest at heart. Many people are afraid of commitment and this is why they do not succeed in their business. If you are like me, failure is not an option.

Make a list of daily activities and tasks that must be completed, including times that they need to be completed by or the amount of time that you expect them to take to complete for each one. Without a specific time management plan, it can be difficult to accomplish a task accurately if you have to start and stop working on it several times a day due to other projects that must be completed. Itemize tasks from most important to least important so that you will complete the ones that need to be done first, while working on those that are not as important second.

If you are an individual that gets easily distracted by other things that are going on, try to avoid those things. If you need to focus all of your time and attention to your computer, do not turn on the television with the notion that you will complete your work. If you tend to get hungry frequently, keep a snack in your desk to munch on so that you do not need to get up several times during the day to grab something to snack on. If outside noises distract you, it may help to play light classical music in the background, so that you may focus on your business. It is important to have designated work space or at least your own desk or office where you can work effectively, efficiently to conduct your business affaires in an orderly manner.

To optimize your time management, it may also be helpful to set aside break times. Try to keep the same break times each day, as well as the same start and finish times. This will help you stay focused on your work during work hours, as you know that after 3pm you will be able to do other things that you need to accomplish for your home or family. Having a home based business can make your life easier, but only if you are able to maintain a healthy work environment that helps you to focus on the tasks at you need to complete in a timely manner.

Poised to Succeed In a Home Based Business Opportunity!

How To Be Successful In a Multi Level Marketing Business

by Michael D Barrett

If you are scouring the Internet for a home based business income opportunity, sooner or later you will run across a wonderfully laid out website which is highly appealing to you, promising you success. It talks of working as little or as much as you like, can be done entirely with the help of your computer, and possesses the opportunity successfully make you money, virtually while you sleep! Does it sound too good to be true? While this is a distinct possibility, the odds are also quite good that you ran across a website that is seeking to enlist new marketers into the world of multi level marketing.

Maligned in the past as a scam, multi level marketing is actually a tried and true business model that has made many people rich and very successful. While the testimonials on any website should be regarded with a grain of salt, there are some distinct advantages that those in search of a home based business income opportunity should consider:

* There is no up front investment that needs to be made. Thus, as soon as you sign on and up, you are able to succeed in generating income. Sometimes you may be asked to pay for training materials and other items, but it is up to you if you really want to go for the expense. If you decline, remember that there are plenty of other multi level marketing opportunities out there which will require you to pay nothing!

* Savvy multi level marketers revel in the fact that with a little know how, you can work on several campaigns simultaneously, thus increasing the profitability of the time you spend online. However, some multi level marketing companies may warn you that to be an effective team leader who wants to ensure that team members will succeed, they should, by example, commit to one company and one company only.

* The trick to succeed in multi level marketing is consistence and staying with it. This is one home based business income opportunity where you cannot take a lot of time off while you are building your business. Once firmly established, you will be able to cut back your time spent working considerably, but not in the beginning. It time you and your team will learn how to work ‘smart’ not ‘hard’.

* You will most likely be selling services or goods and the opportunity, for those customers who express an interest, as part of the multi level marketing effort. Do not try to sell something you do not believe in or would not use in your own home. If you are, for example, selling candles but deep in your heart believe they smell terrible, you will not be able to succeed and do a good job selling them. Instead, switch products or companies until you find a product or service that you can stand behind. To be successful in this industry, you must believe in the product or service whole-heartedly.

* In order succeed with your multi level marketing home based business income opportunity, you need to have an outgoing personality, a natural knack for sales and unafraid to combine the two as you attract others to do the same. If this is in your personality makeup, there will be no stopping you! As a matter of fact, this may be the home based business income opportunity that will not only earn you the money you are looking to make, but it will also serve to fulfill you on a personal level as you utilize the soft skills that net you sales also validate that you have a great personality which people respond to. What better way to make a living?

Free Home Based Business Marketing Tips For Beginners

By Michael D Barrett

The idea that all good things have a price tag firmly attached to them is a fallacy that has discouraged many a small business entrepreneur from taking that vital first step to financial independence with the help of a home base business. Granted, if you did have the funds to launch an all out marketing campaign complete with infomercials and other chicanery, you might have a chance to make a lot of money very quickly. On the other hand, free home based business marketing is easier and much more available a commodity than you might think!

Take for example the power of the written word. There are so many websites available where writing hobbyists can post their articles for free. Savvy marketers know of these sites and will post full page advertisements that are written in the guise of an article. It is perfectly legal and ethical, and as long as you offer relevant content as well as information about your business, you are doing exactly what these stipulate. If the content you create is not only relevant but also attractively written, the odds are good that it will get passed on from person to person, thus creating a form of word of mouth advertising – once again, it will be free for you!

If full fledged article writing is a bit too much to take in at first, why not consider blogging? Free home based business marketing can be done in blog form as well as in article form. Blogs are great ways to write little blurbs or full length opinions into which you can incorporate your business, its background, its benefits, and so forth. Do not be bashful but instead take the opportunities available to you to introduce yourself to your readers and to web surfers in general in an effort to turn casual readers into potential business leads.

Another great way of generating qualified leads for your business is the creation of a website dedicated to your product or service; populate it with significant content. Make sure that the articles and posts are keyword rich, content specific, and search engine optimized. In many cases you can learn how to write such articles for free online. Website space is also frequently already included in your ISP package. Then you should create a newsletter that contains helpful information, perhaps some games, giveaways, and of course ads for your business. By permitting visitors to your site to opt into an email group to receive the newsletter, you are now on your way to some successful email marketing.

Of course, if writing by itself has you worried you might want to consider the use of an affiliate program. While it is true that you will need to pay the affiliate marketers once they send you qualified leads or once these leads make a purchase, it is important to note that you only need to pay for performance, and then the payment will come from the profit standpoint rather than an upfront payment for future services to be rendered. This has the advantage of garnering you a potentially large group of affiliates working on your business’ behalf even when you are offline.

Developing a Strategic Marketing Network for Home Based Business Opportunities

by Michael D Barrett

Developing a strategic marketing network can be a difficult line of work to get into, but can make a considerable profit once it has built up a number of employees and clientele. The amount of profit that you make is directly linked to the number of employees who are below you, selling the products or services for your company. Fortunately, these employees are able to rise through the ranks of your company by recruiting other individuals to sell the products, and as their recruits sell more, they make more of a profit.

Having a home based business that contains a marketing network opportunity will take lots of hard work and dedication from all of the employees. Giving them a lot of training and support will help them to go out and sell your products. Since this is a home based business opportunity for all employees, they will feel that they have freedom that they would not have at other occupations. They are not limited to selling the products or services Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. They can sell their products at whatever time is convenient for them, which helps to motivate them to sell anytime that they are able to. Training your employees to be able to know all of the information that is associated with the product will also help them to sell. They will be able tell clients everything they are interested in knowing regarding the product and/or service and how this can help them in their lives.

Remember that with any home based business, whether it is regarding market networking or not, you are not guaranteed security of sales. A client who uses your service once does not mean they that will return to your company in the future. Long term stability is not guaranteed. Being prepared for that can help you through the rough times. If you or your associates are presently employed and have a: J.O.B, this can work to your advantage and financially sustain you as you transition to working full time from home, owning your own business. If you decide to become a network marketing distributor or associate you are in business for yourself but not by yourself. If you are in direct sales you may want to consider offering a variety of products to boost your potential number of sales or in other words: multiple streams of income. Don’t put all your hens in one basket. Strategic advertising and marketing in new ways can also boost your number of potential clients. Finding new inventive ways to advertise your business and products will draw in new customers during those times when sales start to slow down. Recruiting more employees, distributors or associates to expand your team can help to boost profits as well, as money is only made when you or one of your employees is able to sell products and services and/or in the case of network marketing, the opportunity. This is why it is so important to invest time and money in educating yourself and investing in your associates and distributors. You ma not be crazy about the food at McDonalds or fast food chains, but they are highly successful because they came up with a system that is duplicatable. You will want to embrace or create a system that is also duplicatable to assist you in building your team so that they too can be highly successful in marketing and selling products and services.

When you have to sell a product to make a profit, you are more motivated to make a sale than someone who is paid regardless of their selling abilities. When considering whether you are interested in running a home based marketing network business, do research thoroughly before you begin. It may be beneficial to find others who are interested in this type of work prior to starting the business, so that you can focus on one aspect at a time of the business. It can be difficult to try to sell your products and recruit new members at the same time. Find ways to keep yourself and your employees motivated and remember that you are in control of your company, so do the very best that you can.

Creative Email Marketing Strategies

Getting the Most Out of Your Email List

Michael D Barrett

If you’re interested in getting involved in email marketing, you may not know where to begin. You know that email marketing is really taking off and is being used by some of the most successful marketing gurus and business owners around. But, you’ve likely never thought about how it could work to impact your life and your business. Take a look at these tips on how to build your home based business lead email list and get started! One of the best ways to draw people into your email list is to have a “Join My List” button on your website. People who are interested in you or your products and services will use the sign-up box to get on your list. You can easily have this done with the use of an email marketing service. Or, you can maintain it yourself. It just makes sense for you to use the list sign-up button option since most people who want information about you will visit or search for your website.

As your list grows you are probably want to consider an autoresponder service that will deiver a series of messages to your clients email inbox. One very popular service is Aweber.com. This is a spam proof system that allows you to invite your clients to give you permission to send them ongoing emails. Once it is set up, it is virtually on autopilot. Most autoresponders can handle simultaneous campaigns. So if you have one set of messages going to a certain list of prospects who might be interested in your business opportunity, you can have another set of ads going out to your extent list customers who have purchased your products of services before. It is quite amazing what these technologies are capable of accomplishing in assisting us in our respective business be it, home based or traditional store front retail.

An email list can help you make great business contacts. Another way to get people on your list is to simply ask your clients, customers, or potential customers for their email addresses and permission to send them email. You can do this over the phone, in person or via email. Tell them about what you plan to email them and that they could benefit from your email communications. If you are a retail store with a store-front, you may want to think about putting a sign-up book in your store for those who visit you physically. If your business is conducted on the Web only, you can always send a follow-up email when someone orders, to ask them if they would mind if you put them on your email list. If you happen to have employees, be sure to make it very clear that getting email addresses of clients or customers is a vital part of their job.

Networking is a large part of business success. When you have great contacts, good things could come your way. Therefore, when you meet people at networking events or trade shows, it is important that you tell them about your free newsletters or email-only correspondence. If you offer email-only sales, you may want to mention that as well. They may be able to use your services or they may know someone who can use your services. Either way, you’ll be adding to your email list. The more people you add, the better your chances of business success are!

Remember, when you first begin your email marketing campaign, your list will be small. You have to really make it a habit of asking for email addresses in order for your list to grow. Any opportunity you have to make your email list grow and thrive, do it. Train your employees to be on the constant search for people interested in signing up for your email correspondence. Take advantage of all meetings and business conferences by gathering email addresses for your list. Do everything you can to ensure you are getting the most out of your email marketing.

Getting Your House In Order - Home Based Business Professional Organizer

By Michael D Barrett

True or False!
Organization is As Natural as Breathing

The need for the assistance of a professional organizer has become increasingly necessary for many of us in this fast paced world. Sadly enough we are so busy with work, volunteering, our children and home care that we often get off track and we become disorganized which leads to a chaotic lifestyle. You jump up for work and can’t find your business attire and come to find it still resides at the dry cleaners. You forgot to pick up milk yesterday so the kids are eating dry cereal this morning. Your presentation is covered in a swarm of papers that range from a PTA flyer, last weeks soccer schedule and your daughters latest crayon masterpiece. Does any of this sound familiar? If so, are you the type of person who hears this scenario and grits his or her teeth? If you are the king or queen of organization you may be able to transfer a great skill into a home-based business opportunity.

Business offices as well as households need to run smoothly and effectively for a more tranquil lifestyle. A professional organizer assists those in need of chaos control. Creating organizational tools and daily schedules can be helpfully designed by a professional organizer to clear out the clutter and the stress. Depending on each situation will depend on how much work is evolved. If someone simply needs a new routine set about and some tips on keeping schedule conflicts at bay with a calendar may be all that is necessary. Other customers will require a lifestyle overhaul. A great degree of patience and people skills are involved in professional organization.

The need for a degree is not necessary. For those who are interested, the NAPO-The National Association of Professional Organizers do offer training courses to assist organizers in honing their skills and thinking of personal safety in the environments they are working in. It is a matter of skill, drive and patience to be a professional organizer. If you have these skills you can be on your way to making a solid home based income. Many professional organizers charge by the hour at a rate of $50 to $200, depending on the severity of disorganization.

Organizing kitchen space, home office space or teaching time management are all areas of organization. You can choose to provide specific types of organization. You can offer services for businesses only or cater to any one who comes to you for help. You will listen to your clients needs then assess the situation. You should create customized organization steps that your client will most likely abide by into the future. You and your client will agree on the time frame and fees and draw up a contract agreement. Then it is off to work your magic and change your client’s life for the better. For example, as simple as it may seem, you might offer the following tips in setting up a home office.

Let's have a look, then, at some rules for organizing a home office so your client has a better chance of working at home more productively.

If your client is going to work at home, they need a home office; sharing the kitchen table just doesn't cut it. You would want to advise them to set up a room as a home office if possible, but if they can't, make sure they have at least a desk where they can keep their home based business materials organized and will stay undisturbed when their not working. (Nothing says chaos like having a small child with sticky fingers sort through their papers!)

A separate work space will help them separate their work life from their home life. Entering a home office mentally prepares you to go to work, and establishes a distance (no matter how small) between ‘work’ and ‘home’.

Being a professional organizer can be hard work, but being your own boss and setting your own schedule can make even the most complex job easy to manage. Consider being a professional organizer and you may sweep away the today’s clutter to make it a better environment tomorrow.

Excellent Home Based Business Considerations

By Michael D. Barrett

An excellent home based business allows you to be your own boss and to make all the decisions about the business. By running your business out of your home, you can enjoy flexible hours, certain tax advantages and not having a daily commute. When you are thinking about starting a business, you have to do some soul searching and planning. A home based business is no different from any other business; there are just different aspects to consider.

When beginning a home based business you will need to do so legally. You will need to decide the form of business you are going to undertake. These forms are a sole proprietorship, a partnership or a corporation. If you are going to use some other name than your own, you will need to register your business name with government agencies. You will also need to obtain a business license. The business will need to be run according to local, state and federal regulations.

The location of your home based business is very important. You will need to consider your house and neighborhood when beginning your business. Zoning laws are different for different areas of town. You will need to research the zoning laws for your neighborhood. The neighborhood will need to be suitable for the type of business you are beginning. You should also consider if your location will work for your business. Clients will need to be able to find your business with a minimum amount of trouble. As the cofounder of the 3migroup.com, we registered our business, which provides financial consulting services and is in the process of building a store on line to assist people on our team and in our industry with cutting-edge digital training tools, software. and effective marketing strategies to make your business turkney ready. Your family and work style should be considered when planning a home based business. If your family is supportive of you in your business venture, working from home is idyllic. A lack of separation between your family and your business can interfere with family activities. It is a good idea to discuss your business with your family while you are still in the planning stages.

Another consideration when working from home is if it will work for you. Your personality and work preferences need to be analyzed while considering a home based business. Isolation and a lack of colleagues are increased with a home based business. Working from home requires self discipline. You have to be able to plan and manage your time. Your work style should include dealing with problems effectively.

An important determining factor in planning a home based business is your own personality. Do you have the qualities to be successful? The traits of a successful businessman or woman include competitiveness, a need to achieve, the desire to take the initiative, perseverance, and self confidence. Enthusiasm is a good work quality but it must be combined with determination to go down the road with success. Other qualities that will be useful in business are discipline, drive, flexibility, and the ability to meet new challenges head on. You should be prepared to commit your personal and financial resources to your new business for no less than one year. A home based business is a business, not a hobby and should be treated as such. To be successful, you will need a strategic marketing plan.

The decision to start a home based business should not be a snap decision. It can be satisfying and thrilling owning your own business. Don’t let all the decisions scare you from make a choice that will free you from the daily grind. It is possible to have a successful home based business.

How to Start Excellent Home Business Ventures with Next to No Money

By Michael D Barrett

By and large, there are two ways to start home business ventures:
1. Utilize a well thought out media blitz to generate interest in a good or service you are selling and then place it visibly for all to sale on the ‘Net.
2. Sell a good or provide a service by relying on your wits, skills, support group and talents.

The first methodology requires money, and lots of it. The upside of course, if the media campaign works, is a gigantic profit margin. If you remember the various toy crazes that hit right around the Christmas holidays a few years back, you will be able to understand just what a creative and well funded advertising campaign can accomplish in a short period of time. Yet the average would-be entrepreneur lacks this kind of advertising budget and instead will have to opt for alternative two, which will permit her or him to start home business ventures with next to no cash.If you are ready to try your hand and would like to learn how to become successful working from home but do not have a lot of money to spend, here are some tips you cannot do without:

* Take an inventory of your skill set. Are you are mother? If o, you have valuable parenting skills that could be turned into an income. Do you have a degree in finance or accounting? Again, this is a skill set that is highly sought after in today’s online marketplace. Are you creative and do friends ooh and ah over the dinner table at Thanksgiving? If so, you might have a knack for interior decorating! Do not be bashful; this is an opportunity to toot your own horn! If you are a musician and want to market your CD then this too becomes an opportunity for you to generate cash and build a fan base which will be further enhanced by community sites like My space, YouTube and others. I have successfully marketed my CDs on My Space, CD Baby, I-Tunes and a host of other sites that can assist you in selling your music via digital downloads that you get paid for. Be sure to log on to: 3MiMusic.com, 3MiMusic.net or 3MiMusicMyspace.com to see how I did it.

* Decide if you want to provide a service or sell a good. Next, pick something that you believe in and use in your own home. Conversely, you might want to provide a service or make a good to be sold by others. Again, pick something you enjoy and can see yourself doing even if you do not necessarily feel like it. Once you know what you want to do and know that you have the skills to do it, utilize what you have already at home to make it happen. If you have a computer, then this is the one you will use to post your creations on the ‘Net. If you bake dog biscuits in your kitchen, then this is the facility you will use for your work. Combine the two, and you will have a good and an advertising tool! You can print your own flyers; create your own labels, print up order forms, and also coupons to be handed out to potential customers.

* Enlist the help of friends and family. Spreading the word about your good or service should be done by those who love you and believe in you. With their help you will be able to reach segments of the population previously closed to you. This will allow you to make some money, which you can then reinvest in the business in order to grow it.

Start home business success by concentrating on a small circle of potential consumers and gradually enlarging it by allowing your profits to pay for the expansion.

Excelent Home Based Business Ideas

Excellent Home Business Ideas Aren’t Always Easy
by Michael D. Barrett

Many people are choosing to operate a home based business these days; only most do not derstand what it fully involves. Many people are under the assumption that a home based business is easy money and will provide them with plenty of time off and a high income. While these can both be true many people tend to over look the high demand of a home based business. If you are a person that is considering a home based business you will need to make a clear evaluation of your life style, your desires for the business, as well as the amount of time and effort you have to devoting to it. Establishing a home based business is not the same as ‘working’ from home where by you substitute your J.O.B. i.e. working for someone else at a different location with another J.O.B, or working from home for someone else. A Home based business, albeit MLM or Direct Sales is defined by the fact that it is ‘your’ business. For example: ,if you are a certified consultant on my team, you are in business ‘for’ yourself but not ‘by’ yourself. No matter what type of business you want to own you will be required to put in many hours into this business to make it profitable. Having a home based business is not a hobby, it is the real thing, and needs to be taken seriously. Knowing your desires will help you to have a profitable business. This means you need to have a clear plan on where you want your business to be in five years. How much do you want to be making in a year? How much time do you have to invest in your business? These are all questions that should be asked of yourself and answered honestly.

Very often people have the assumption that a home based business is easier to run and that you can make a lot of money with very little effort. It is very rare to find a business that is going to make you money with out you putting work into the job even if you adhere to the slogan: work smart not hard. Finding a business that makes you happy can give you a great sense of satisfaction and can give you the feeling that you are not really working. Owning your own business takes a lot of dedication to the project at hand, it can be a very trying experience for many new business owners. Being dedicated to your business will help it take off quicker, bringing in more money and allowing you to have more time off. In the beginning you may put in more hours getting your business underway then you did working your nine to five job. You may need to sacrifice extra hours that normally would have been spent with friends or family, or you may have to make financial cut backs in order to save the money needed to get your business off the ground. Serious entrepreneurs know that a real business requires some financial investment: All internet businesses require some money to invest in them. The investment greatly depends on the type business you want to own and run as well as what kind of marketing you will be doing for your business. This of course means that you will need to have some knowledge of how to market your business. What kind of advertising is best used and how do you go about getting people to buy your product? Ultimately you will need a dynamic marketing strategy. In operating a home based business, be it on line or off line, “You Are A Marketer” and from the outset you will need a marketing strategy to be successful.

By understanding that your home based business is not an easy job but a lot of hard work you can turn your life into one that you can have more control over.

Excellent Home Business

by Michael D Barrett

An Excellent Home Business is one that you are starting yourself. Some of those businesses that are advertised in newspapers, magazines or on the Internet are not legitimate. In order for your business to be all that you want it to be, you need to consider how is the best way for you to do that. Talents are what you do best. Skills are the things that you can do. Talents are passive and skills are active. You are born with talents but you develop skills over the years. Talents combined with skills can go along way to making a very successful business. It might be helpful to list both when considering what home business would work for you.
Not all businesses work well as home based businesses and some won’t work at all. You might want to make a list of home based businesses. Once you have done that, go back through and mark off all the ones you don’t want to do. After that, see which ones would closely match your talents and skills. This exercise should give you a general idea which way you might want to go. It doesn’t matter how talented you are or how skillful, if no one is willing to pay for your product or service, there can be no business. You need to ask yourself how much people would be willing to pay for your product or service. Once you have figured that amount out you need to evaluate if you can live on that amount of money. It is very important to consider the profitability of any home based business. It is up to you to decide if you will make enough profit or income to be satisfied.

Business plans will help you assess the viability of your home base business opportunity. The primary reason for a business plan is to lay out your ideas for your business, to see if it can succeed. As you work through your business plan the research you do will either validate or stop your business plans. If the business plan shows you that your business ideas won’t work, put them aside and select another business opportunity. You may find you will have to do this more than once. Many people look at the same business ideas. There are more construction companies, painters and consultants than you can imagine. If you are looking for something different, here are some ideas to consider. Agritourism is a rapidly growing business. Farm vacations and activities are gaining interest among families who want their children to be exposed to farm animals and the rural way of life. The field of human resources or recruiters is also expanding. It is very easy for companies to turn to someone else outside their company to do their recruiting. Another idea is to write memoirs. They don’t have to be your own. This job allows someone’s life to be created for others to read and enjoy.
A lot of people will try to influence your decision in your search for a home based business opportunity. You will hear good ideas and some not so great ideas. It doesn’t matter what you hear or see; only you can figure out what is and excellent home based business opportunity for you. Author: Michael Barrett is a certified consultant and entrepreneur.
