THe Soldier/Respect by Daniel Wilson

This is the soldier who fought in the heart of war, who inspires people because he is one of the few, the proud – a marine. And when fear arrives he overcomes it because this is the soldier who fought in the heart of war for his country.

Respect by Daniel WilsonIf respect could be a color it would be pure white like a polar bear's soft coat blowing in the wind.If respect could be a taste it would taste just like hot chocolate with whipped cream on top in a freezing snow storm at night.

If respect could be a smell it would be the smell of hot concession food at a sporting event in the late afternoon just as the sun is setting.

If respect could be a sound it would be soft peaceful quiet as if you were the last person on earth. If respect could be a feeling it would be the feeling of accomplishment and pride after a long hard day's work.

If respect could be an animal it would be a panda bear soft, furry, comfortable and fun; becoming scarce throughout the world, but trying to be saved.

Daniel Wilson is in the 6th grade and lives in Southlake, Texas. He is thankful to all the brave and courageous men and women who serve and have served in the Armed Forces to protect liberty and freedom.

"If you spend five minutes complaining, you have just wasted five minutes. If you continue complaining, it won't be long before they haul you out to a financial desert and there let you choke on the dust of your own regret." Jim Rohn
